The outer casing and control panel also offer a degree of protection in poor weather conditions, making the SG180 ideal for outdoor use. Overheat protection is also guaranteed through a unique, Direct Thermal Protection device.  The SG180 uses dual 2.5 Gallon Smoke Fluid Tanks to directly feed the massive dual 2500 Watt heaters.  The maximum efficiency heat exchanger ensures uniform high quality smoke production on a enormous-scale. What makes these better than traditional fog machines?

Fog machines traditionally create smoke by pumping fog fluid through single straight core heaters. As heat is transferred from the heaters to the smoke fluid, the heaters cool down. Once below a certain temperature smoke can no longer be generated, which is why low end smoke machines not designed for continuous smoke production need time to reset between discharges. To extend operating time, these smoke machines often start at a higher-than optimal temperature, resulting in burnt particles. As smoke is generated, the heater temperature falls through the optimal range to below optimal resulting in “wet” smoke that leaves a residue. The smoke fluid is then cut off to give the heaters time to reset. The SG35, SG90 and SG180 use a continuous flow of smoke fluid delivered precisely by an intelligent control system which monitors core temperature and fluid supply levels to create the ideal environment for high quality smoke production. This environment is balanced through intelligent sensors and controls and provides the highest quality continuous smoke with minimal burnt particles or wet residue.

Where to use the SG Series of Smoke Generators?

Simulated smoke can be used for in Training Towers to help with Search & Rescue Training to challenge firefighters to find victims in low-visibility during search and rescue or thermal imaging drills.  The SG35 can be paired with a WHP Trainingtowers Smoke Distribution System to quickly fill buildings with dense smoke for large area search training.  All of the SG Series are ideal for creating a "white-out" zero visibility environment which is perfect for mask confidence training.  The SG90 and SG180 create massive amounts of smoke that is optimal for ventilation training and large outdoor drills.
